Taking A Break

Hello future readers,

This is Julie's doll mom, Sharry. As you've probably guessed, Julie's posts have been few and far between lately. I'm not sure if any of you non-bloggers know this, but keeping up a doll blog is a LOT of work. Between dressing the dolls, making sets, finding and setting up accessories, it's all consuming. A lot of other things were beginning to suffer like household chores.  I've been doing this for the past 5 years, and I think it's time the gang and I took a little break. I'm not quitting completely, and I will let you all know when I come back; but when I do, the posts  will probably be about once a month. I appreciate your understanding and continued support during this time.

Until next time, future readers,
Your friends,
Sharry and Julie

  1. You deserve a break. You really do so much work to make your costumes and sets look great. I am still jealous of your Halloween costumes.

  2. Take your time and don´t worry - keeping a blog like this is something to enjoy and get a respite from everyday life from, not something to add stress and pressure to your life. You (and Julie) are doing an amazing job, and Julie´s time capsule is always a welcome break from the worries of present everyday life - you more than deserve to get a break of your own whenever and as long as you need it. And sometimes different things in life just have to come first. I always enjoy and appreciate Julie´s adventures, and will continue to do so - whether they come once a week, once a year, or once every five years. You have my full support.

  3. Dear Sharry,
As McDonalds first said back in 1970, "You deserve a break today..." Enjoy your sabbatical and come back to us refreshed and renewed. Your blog is my favorite.
    Hugs to you and Julie,
    Fawn

  4. As you and I have already discussed this, I can totally understand!! It is a ton of work, and sometimes you just need some time away to avoid complete burn out. Enjoy your break and stay in touch!

  5. Take your time, we are here, and we will take what you have time to do for the blog; we are not dolls, and real life with its constraints must be lived before anything else, even if it is household chores (yuck!) among other things. See you soon :-)

  6. I enjoy Julie's stories so much, but they should be as much fun for you to write about as they are for Julie. Enjoy your break. I will reread older posts, and look forward to future ones! In 2018 "it's all good," but I would rather say "everything's groovy." Thank you for the world you have created for Julie and your readers.
